The new year is shaping up to be a great one for Washington Wattsmart® Business Vendors! In addition to the ongoing incentives at the higher levels announced in 2024 for installing lighting upgrades, new 2025 changes can positively impact your business and help your customers save too.
You can learn all about the incentives and how they work below, but here’s a quick look at the incentives by type:
- $0.05 per kilowatt-hour saved cash vendor incentive for Typical lighting retrofits and Midstream (Lighting Instant Incentive) projects.
- $50 per fixture for Advanced Networked Lighting Controls (ANLC).
- $300 for Small Business Lighting (SBL) projects.
- $500 for Very Small Business or Named Community Small Business Lighting projects.
What’s New?
We appreciated your outstanding participation in 2024. Let’s continue the program’s momentum with these great incentives:
Typical lighting retrofits and Midstream
Wattsmart Business Vendors receive the vendor incentive at a rate of $0.05 per kilowatt-hour saved for helping Pacific Power ® business customers in Washington save money with qualifying lighting upgrades. This vendor incentive offer is for the approved vendor and is in addition to the customer incentives available through Wattsmart Business. Pacific Power offers significant cash customer incentives up to 70% of eligible costs to help with the up-front expenses of your customer’s project. Get more details on our website.
How it works
For qualifying lighting projects, vendors receive the vendor incentive of $0.05 per kilowatt-hour annual energy savings, with a maximum vendor incentive of $5,000 per customer location in 2025. Each vendor location is eligible to receive $35,000 in total incentives in 2025. Vendor incentives are first come, first served, and the vendor incentive offer may terminate earlier than the eligibility timeline listed below if allocated funding is exhausted. The program will email the Wattsmart Business Vendor Network if the funds are exhausted.
Here are some examples of vendor incentives.
Project kWh | Vendor Incentive |
25,000 | $1,250 |
50,000 | $2,500 |

Advanced Networked Lighting Controls
Wattsmart Business Vendors can receive a cash vendor incentive of $50 per fixture for helping Pacific Power business customers save money on their energy improvements with a qualifying Advanced Networked Lighting Controls (ANLC) retrofit, including Luminaire Level Lighting Controls (LLLCs).* This offer is available for incentive offers issued starting July 1, 2024, and through November 30, 2025. All project documentation and invoices must be received no later than November 30, 2025.
How it works
Effective July 1, 2023, the ANLC vendor incentive is $50 per fixture. The maximum vendor incentive is $5,000 per customer location. For 2025, the cap per vendor location for ANLC vendor incentives is removed.
Why expand the incentive?
Wattsmart Business Vendors have the power to take the next big thing in lighting to Pacific Power customers. The incentive is designed to help you embrace new technology and help cover the additional costs to sell, install and configure ANLC retrofit projects. Only Wattsmart Business Vendors in good standing are eligible to participate.**
*Project requires pre-approval. The system must be DLC-listed and meet program performance requirements. The vendor may receive both the ANLC vendor incentive and the lighting retrofit vendor incentive for a project with ANLC.
**You must be an approved Wattsmart Business Vendor prior to project closeout in order to receive these lighting upgrade vendor incentives. Not a Wattsmart Business Vendor? Contact your outreach coordinator or call 1-509-210-5011.
